Meet Kevin Sipp, the Gallery Manager for the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs. Kevin oversees all three of the City’s municipal galleries and leads the Art on Loan program, bringing works from the City’s collection into public-facing spaces across departments and buildings. He also supports the selection and acquisition of artwork that helps define Atlanta’s artistic identity.
Kevin’s path to OCA has been decades in the making. He spent 15 years at Hammonds House Museum, where he served as curator, tour guide, and in-house historian, followed by several years working as a teaching artist, writer, and docent trainer at various local institutions. “Throughout those years,” Kevin says, “the City of Atlanta was a funder of many of the initiatives I worked on. Becoming an employee of the City was a natural progression of my commitment to Atlanta and its art scene.”
With a wealth of knowledge and a deep love for the arts, Kevin continues to help shape the cultural fabric of the city, one exhibition at a time.
