Mayor's Gallery
History of Mayor's Gallery
The Mayor’s Gallery at City Hall is a premier exhibition space showcasing the works of accomplished Atlanta-based artists. Established in 2021 at the request of Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, the gallery is situated in the foyer of the Mayor’s Executive Office Suite, offering both established and emerging artists an unparalleled platform to present their work. This unique venue not only fosters strong ties between the city and its creative community but also allows the city to assess and celebrate the artistic excellence being produced within its borders.
Since the establishment of the Bureau of Cultural Affairs (now the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs) by Mayor Maynard Jackson, Atlanta has been a formidable presence in the art world. The city government’s ongoing support of homegrown and locally-based artists continues to set a benchmark for other cities, enhancing Atlanta’s reputation on the global stage. By creating a rotating gateway gallery at the entrance to the Mayor’s suite, the gallery welcomes visiting officials, dignitaries, and citizens alike with a vibrant and diverse display of Atlanta’s artistic and cultural offerings, reflecting the city’s dynamic creative spirit.

4th Annual Mayor’s Pride Exhibition
