The Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs is expanding its grant portfolio in 2015 – piloting a new grant program specifically targeted at reaching Atlanta’s varied neighborhoods. Through this program, the OCA will ensure that General Fund dollars are reaching communities, some of which may be culturally underserved.
Both Neighborhood Associations and Neighborhood Planning Units (NPUs) are eligible to apply for up to $2,499 to support projects such as neighborhood arts festivals, concerts, workshops, screenings, performances or other productions designed to bring residents together and foster creativity.
Neighborhood organizations must partner with artists to execute their project plans. The Office of Cultural Affairs will help connect neighborhood organizations with local nonprofits able to provide consultation and artist referrals, upon request.
