Four metal cut-out figures represent a family of two parents and two children. They hold hands around a central pole, which serves as the base for an umbrella structure. The umbrella is 14 ft tall and 21 ft wide. This piece was created on collaboration with youth in the Capitol Area Mosaic Teen Program. Residents in the community were invited to participate in selection of the design.

The artist, Eleanor Hand, has lived in Atlanta since 1968 and has designed several public art pieces around Atlanta. She is committed to working in collaboration with her clients to create projects through which the participants can “experience the magic of the creative process and the celebration of community.”
