This large, steel sculpture forms a gateway into Grove Park.The scale of the piece invites the viewer to walk around and get involved with the geometric, abstract work. Artist Curtis Patterson often “embeds subtle surprises within his work as a reward for those who are motivated to explore and discover.”
Curtis Patterson, originally from Shreveport, Louisiana, received his Master of Fine Arts degree at Georgia State University and taught sculpture for thirty years at the Atlanta College of Art. Patterson’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, and he has a number of large-scale public art commissions across Atlanta.
