The Atlanta Jazz Festival is partnering with Grammy Award Saxophonist, Kebbi Williams to present his 5th annual Music in the Park event, held in the Historic West End community. For the second year, Music in the Park and the Atlanta Jazz Festival will be an active partner with the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition’s Atlanta Streets Alive. Music in the Park will provide live performances from diverse musicians while cyclists and pedestrians take over the streets of West End from 2 – 6pm. Attendees will also have the opportunity to experience various forms of orchestral music composed by special guest conductor, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, featuring arrangements that encompass various music styles of Jazz, Classical, Funk, and Blues. The 50-piece orchestra will include youth from various Atlanta Public Schools and professional musicians, which will be held at The Wrens Nest from 6 – 8pm, following the conclusion of the Atlanta Streets Alive activities. Featured performers this year will include: Russell Gunn, Julie Dexter, Joe Gransden, Frank Barham and Brazilian Sounds, Eric McFadden, 4th Ward Afro-Klezmer Orchestra, Rahbi and Mausiki Scales and the Common Ground Collective.
