The visual work I create often incorporates mapping imagery.  Utilizing a variety of media, I tend to focus on the fundamental qualities of mapping: the mysteriousness, inherent biases, cultural authoritativeness, and ability to simultaneously represent and distort reality. Ultimately, the mapping process serves as a mediator between individuals and their surroundings. With public projects, I incorporate elements of place and place-making into the design and concept of the commissioned work.

I have effectively worked with architects, contractors, multiple departments within a government entity, and diverse partnering agencies.   Additional experience includes serving as the former Public Art Coordinator for Fulton County, a board member for a grass-roots public art organization, a panelist for numerous public art projects including an airport expansion, a mayoral-appointed advisor for the City of Atlanta’s public art program, and a college arts educator (sculpture).  I have an appreciation for the various roles involved in the public art process.
