Artist Statement
If I could answer this question with one word, it would be “placemaking.” It is a search for me as the artist to dig for the soul of a place and have my artwork help define it. Working in the public realm, you are constantly dealing with a varied set of circumstances. It is my goal to identify these unique characteristics and be a part of the solution to help define them. It is an opportunity to affect both the social and urban experiences of a place through a creative narrative. These opportunities only exist in the public realm and are the sources of inspiration for my work.
